Goals
  • Help customers identify movies they are most interested in months before the movie is available in movie theaters
  • Provide users with interesting content related to the movie
  • Buy theatre movie tickets using app
  • Show them what streaming services have the movie and let them know when it is available to watch for free on Netflix
Target Audience
Individuals,
  • who have access to mobile phone or tablet
  • are interested in watching movies online at home
  • want to book movie tickets to watch in theatre
  • who wants to get social with friends and other movie enthusiasts
Applying Hook Model
We used Hooks model to design habit forming product to engage with users. The Hook Model describes an experience designed to connect the user’s problem to a solution frequently enough to form a habit.
Brainstorming Ideas
Keeping the Hook’s model as central theme, we had brainstorming session to come up with initial ideas about the platform. Organizing the ideas into each phase three main themes were identified
Initial sketches
During this phase, we put together the data obtained from interviews and survey questionnaires from the Empathise phase. We analyzed the data to define the core problems and questions that will guide our research.
Design elements
After analyzing the research data and defining the problems we had brainstorming sessions and discussed ideas to come up with a solution. We designed sketches and discussed out of the box ideas that could solve our defined problems. One of the ideas was to use Virtual Reality while ordering food!

Takeaways
Working on this project, I enhanced my visual communication skills and learned rapid prototyping. I also learnt applying Hooked model to capture user’s attention and design habit forming products.
