My Experiences

UX Designer for Seedstages, a company matching leading startups to great new grad talent. While there I collaborated with designers, developers, and analysts to design a web platform from scratch and create new features for iOS and Android apps.
UX Engineer for DePaul University where I contributed to design and built an internal learning management system which is used by 2300 professors and 23,000 students there.
Volunteered as a UX Designer for Childhood Cancer Warriors, a non-profit pediatric cancer organization improving the web experiences.
Associate Software Developer, engineered solutions in Java and performed functional testing using SQL language for a leading Finnish bank.

Dhaivat joined Seedstages as a UX design intern and quickly rose to be our UI Mockup lead due to his excellent design skills, leading UI workshops and leadership abilities. Dhaivat worked under my supervision for almost a year in 2020 as a Student Web Developer while attending school at DePaul University. During this time with my team, Dhaivat helped designing and building a responsive web template. The template was created using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Our focus was to create a mobile friendly template to be used by other developers to build web applications. Dhaivat was also tasked with testing the template on all the popular devices using BrowserStack, and fixed bugs to make sure it worked as design. Dhaivat is a very good listener who wants as many details as possible in order to deliver the work on time. Dhaivat did a great job and met all our expectations. I found my experiences with him very positive and professional.

My Story

💟 I discovered my love for designing

I discovered my love for designing when my curiosity to solve complex problems began. Prior to design, I worked as an Engineer where I was coding and often wondered how I could visualize it impacting real-world issues. I was intrigued to learn how small design ideas can ease people's lives and bring transformation to businesses.

The thought of impacting people's lives through both design and technology resonated strongly with me, and I began to explore the human-centered design realm while completing certifications to learn more about User Experience Design.

💻 Tech enthusiast who cares for people

Coming from an engineering background, I believe I can confidently connect dots between design and technology and craft designs that are efficient and feasible for the users. Throughout my design journey, I’ve had the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary people and I experienced that being empathetic to people and working collaboratively has greatly benefitted the success of the projects.

🕺 When not working

Outside of work, I love seeing the world through my camera lens and nature always mesmerizes me. While in Chicago, I am exploring its diverse neighborhoods, cultures and authentic restaurants. In my spare time, I love to sketch, hear rap music and UFO stories!
